Thanks, but I’m not talking about restarting after the install. The installer does already prompt for a restart, and I did restart after installing. I’m talking about restarting once again, after running the setup wizard.
OK, I just restarted Thunderbird, and now things to be working as expected—the “Preferences” button is enabled, and the “Add address book” command is enabled in the context menu of the Address Books pane.
Is a restart always required after going through the setup wizard? If so, perhaps the setup wizard should offer to perform the reset itself, or remind the user to do so. If not, then maybe this is a bug in CardBook.
