ParticipantSorry to write in French, its much easier for me to give a clear explanation.
Bonjour,
Bien cordialement
Jean-Pierre

ParticipantWould be great. I had a corruption : Paris spelled Pari in most contacts. I had to correct the errors on by one.
Thanks in advance.JPL
ParticipantComplement, in fact lists work well when one use “ecrire” within cardbook, not when one uses the name of the list as an address in “ecrire” within Thunderbird. Should the latest work ?

ParticipantHello,
I have not been able to find where to enable lists. Second tab of preferences on my version 28.9 is (in French) “Onglet””. I do not find where to enable lists.
I am able to create lists, but when I use their name, the generated e-mail address in incorrect. For example, list named LST when used generate the email address LST <LST>.
Thanks in advance for your help.

ParticipantHello sorry for not being clear. I will try to do better.
The expression that I wrote is a suggestion. It does not work currently. It would mean the following (in an imaginary programming language) :
if nickname exists than “nickname”
else if prefix exits than “prefix” & ” ” else “”
if firstname exists than “prefix” & ” ” else “”
…
if company exits than “company” & ” ” else “”
end else
In sumary, the idea is to allow nested parentheses
My goal is to be able to have as display name :
- nickname if there is one
- first name last name if there is no nickname
- company name if there are none of the above
Nice to have. But even without this Carbook is a fantastic add on. Thanks for it.
Regards.

ParticipantI tested a few otions. This string seems to work better:
({{2}} |)({{4}} |{{6}})
It display “name” if this is not empty, “company” if “name” is empty.
Thanks for your answer anyway.
